Springfield, Il
Hello all,
Walker and I left on Thursday to go to Springfield ill for a 4 day dog show. We ended up doing pretty well but unfortunally walker didn't come out a finished champion. We got 3rd place on Friday, Saturday went 1st, Winners Dog and Best of Winners (for 1 point towards his championship), Saturday we went 1st, and Winners Dog (for a 3 point Major) (You need two majors to finish and a total of 15 points. Walker now has a total of 10 points with 1 major.

Walker's Home
Thank goodness I missed him. Brett was awesome and drove down to the cincy airport (which is actually in kentucky) (So brett passes through 3 total states to get there ohio, indiana, and kentucky) Crazy isn't it. Well the airport is about an hour away which stinks. Walkers flight was supposed to be here at 6:15 but didn't land till after 6:30 and brett didn't get back on the road back hom till about 7:15-7:25 so right now I am actually waiting for him to get home.
I am just glad he is back. I've missed him.

Our weekend in Indianapolis
Sorry I haven't written in awhile. The last time I wrote a lot and right as I was about to post it...BAM my computer shut down. So I was mad at it and decided I didn't really want to post. Therefore I don't remember what I was going to write about then.
AnyHo....
We went to Indianapolis this weekend actually we went to West Lafayette (where Purdue University) is. Brett and his friend Chris(no talking chris(for those who know him). They were doing an Olympic size triathlon on Sunday. Chris was here friday night and then saturday we got up and made pancakes and bacon...yummmmy....then we dropped the doggies at the kennel :( and went on to Indianapolis.
But could it be that easy no not at all. Dropping the puppies off was fine. The drive up took forever. We took our state highway since we had been in oxford to drop the puppies off and we got into Indiana and hit a detour. We get going on the detour and it took us all the way up to I-70 (not really on are way but we thought hey maybe this is a bit faster then the way we have gone before. We hit 3 construction areas where they narrowed it down to 1 lane. Of which only one of these places was actually being worked on we sat in traffic forever!!!!!
We got to chris's and saw all the crazy purdue football fans. Crazy as these people tons and tons of them start drinking at 6:30am and then they dress up in halloween constumes. So we watched the Baylor vs Texas A&M, OU vs. Kansas State, and Purdue vs. Notre Dame games. Good times were had by all.
We were up nice and early Sunday morning for the tri. When we got there brett and chris rode their bike the mile to the course and I waited at the school where their was supposed to be a shuttle to pick spectators up. Did this happen no of course not. So a group of ladies and I decided in a group we would just walk together. We got to the first turn and a nice person picked us up in their truck and drove us the rest of the way. This was not a stranger (well really they were) but they were triathlon people from purdue. So I got to the course after a bit...which is good because brett was starting to get worried. Everybody starting getting ready and had their wet suits on waiting to get into the water. No sooner did we get rain/lighting/thunder. So they did really call it or say anything but get out of the water. The real shuttles had finally made it. (Which was good) Brett and Chris started back to the car on their bikes and i rode the shuttle back unfortunatly they bet me back and I had the keys. So once i got there of course it started raining. Chris was able to load his stuff up quicker so he went back to the course to see what they were doing. We finally got a call from him and head that way. Once we got their and some of brett's stuff out chris yelled out 5 minutes to the start. Brett took off so he could get his wet suit on while i was left to make sure i got everything he needed in the transition area. Oh yeah have i mention that i haven't done a triathlon how do i know exactly what he needs.
Anyways i made it to the start of the race though between all the wet suits i couldn't really tell which one he was. After they started i realized I had forgotten his sunglasses and I didn't want him to lose to Chris(they had a bet of course). So i went back to the the car (was a bit of a walk) man i did a lot of walking that day) Picked up the sunglasses, stopped by chris' truck picked up the sitting chair and headed back. Dropped the sunglasses off at his bike and went and sat my chair up to wait and wait and wait and watch. Finally brett came out of the swim thankfully ahead of chris. Brett Ran up this big ass hill to the transition area. Sat and waited waited and waited for chris to come out of the water.
Moved my chair to the area where they jump on their bikes and head through the course...sat their for mmmmm like an hour before anybody decided to come back. Saw Brett was glad to see him. Sat their again waiting and waiting for Chris to appear (kinda nice the cheer for more than one person at a race) 17 min later chris appeared.
After that moved chair to watch them run...yep just as boring you don't see people that often but what can you do so i did people watching of the spectators.
They both finished the race and I was very glad of that!!! Especially when brett beat chris by about 20min. Yahooooo
Chris is already asking for a rematch.
Okay all for right now tired and need to make lunches for tomorrow.

Biking.....Football day
Brett and I had signed up for a 20 mile bike race to do Saturday morning. I caught a cold from the children at school and had not felt well during the week. I was hoping by Saturday i would feel better. As you can guess I was a bit better or a lot better compaired to thursday night but i wasn't sure I could get through the 20miles. So we decided to just eat the money and sleep in :) That and we didn't want me to get 10 miles in and decided I couldn't finish.
So when we got up (about 8:30am) ha ha not really sleeping in. We cleaned the house. We had Fran and Jason over for football. The Ohio State vs. Sacremento State game started at 3:30 we also watched the Michigan State vs. Notre Dame game which was a true game at the end that had us on the edge of the couch. Unfortunately Notre Dame lost in overtime. But thank goodness for us Jason's alma motter Ohio State pulled a win after their defeat against Texas :)
We are also very proud of TU (my alma motter) Who won again University of North Texas 52-2!!!
We had a wonderful time with Jason and Fran cooking Hot dogs, Burgers, Brats and Corn on the Cob. Our corn on the cob is awesome here!!! We buy it from the local farms market so yummmy.
It is nice to have some friends around even if they are usually up in dayton. The day before we had gone up to Wright-Patterson to go to the Commissary and then went out with Fran and Jason for some much yummy Indian food.
Thanks for reading :)

TCU vs UTah
YAHOOO WE WON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Brett got up really early this morning to find out the score because he fell asleep during the game last night.
Things are going well here this week. It is really hot and humid and has started sprinkling again this morning. Which is not going to help this horrible cold i have recieved from the kindergardeners at our school....along with everybody else.
Today we plan on going to Wright-Patterson to look at the Sports Expo (they are holding a marathon on saturday). We also plan on going to the Commissary to stock up. I am trying to only shop there and go about every three weeks.
Saturday brett and i have signed up for a bike ride called the Oxford Odyssey it is a bike ride that you can do 20, 35, 65, 100 miles. I will be doing the 20 brett might do that with me or he will do the 35 mile one.
Alrighty off to school this morning hopefully will keep my runny nose under control :)

Dog Show Sunday
It was a balmy 90 with about a 100% humidity again. Walker did much better showing today. As I had him standing on a cold towel and one over his body. To help keep him cool. He showed absolutely wonderful!! The judge couldn't stop raving over him ...which was really nice. So he went 1st in his class, Winners Dog(which gave him another point towards his championship) and then went BEST OF BREED!!!
We were so excited...but a little sad because Brett stayed home today and didn't get to see him show. But that is okay we were very happy to have him come on saturday.
Brett stayed and worked out...because he hasa huge triathlon at the beginning on October.

Dog Show
We took Walker to a Dog show about an hour from our house today. HE went winners dog which means he got 1 point towards his Championship!! I was very excited because the last show we went to was in Wisco and it was outdoors. He didn't show as well and was very hot so i vowed that I wouldn't show him outdoors again. So when brett and I drove up what do we find oh yes that it was an OUTDOOR show. Oh well what can you do. He showed okay and I don't believe he was as hot as last time. At this show unlike Wisco there was nowhere to get out of the heat so brett, walker and i sat in the car till it was our time to go inside!

Just getting Started
Hello,
I thought I would start this blog so it would be easier to let everybody know what we are up to. Brett is liking his job teaching ROTC at Miami University. I am also teaching except at a small private school grades k-8th. It is called McGuffy Foundation School http://mcguffeyfoundationschool.com/index.html
A small private school about 2min away from where brett works. Which has become very nice since the price of gas has gone up. We have begun car pooling!!!
Okay hopefully we will have interesting things to say on this...This weekend our plans are to go to a dog show...yes we are showing walker. Well I am showing walker and brett is going to watch :)
